ABOUT DR. LELAN OLSEN AND OLSEN VETERINARY CLINIC
Dr. Lelan R. Olsen, DVM
I have been serving the Glen Carbon area as a licensed veterinarian since 2001. I graduated from Kansas State University in 1990, and am a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. It has been a career goal to provide our community with the current and best medical care for a wide variety of pets. These animals are the essential key in the mental and physical well being of our clients. Without them, many of us would have a much lower quality of life. With that being said, it only makes sense to do our best to keep our pets healthy and happy as well.
Claudia Colley - Office Manager
I have been a part of Olsen Veterinary Clinic since March 2008. I am a certified Medical Coder and Biller, and will begin the certification process as a vet tech soon. I graduated from Sandford-Brown College. I grew up on a farm and have always had a great passion for animals and the outdoors. My family of pets consist of 1 dog, 2 cats and 4 horses. I look forward to being a part of your pets health care plan.
Samantha Gerhardt - Veterinary Assistant
I am very excited to be a part of the Olsen Veterinary team, which I joined March 2010. I am beginning classes in the fall to further my career as a veterinary assistant. In the past, I spent a lot of time volunteering at various shelters. Animals have always been a big part of my life. It is a very rewarding to be able to do something I love so much. I have 2 dogs myself.
Sabra McCune - Veterinary Assistant
I was invited to become a member of the Olsen Veterianry team May 2011. I have an Associates in Science from Wabash Valley College and I recently earned a BA in Kinesiology at SIUE. I have worked 5 years in vet tech field. I played four years of college softball and my senior year at SIUE we won the Division 2 National Championship. I have 3 dogs, 1 cat, 1 bird and a rabbit. My hobbies include: softball, golf, Cardinal Baseball, playing with my bunny, spending time with my family and friends, music, sleeping and being outdoors.
Sheila Thomas - Professional Groomer
My career began in 2001 and I became certified in 2003. I became a member of the Olsen Veterinary Clinic in July 2007. I look at grooming as chance to show our pets we appreciate and love them. Animals bring such joy to our lives, why not pamper them and show them how much they bring we really care. I have 2 labs myself.
